The Pain & Wellness Center is among the first facilities in the country to adopt “Integrative Pain Therapy,” by combining established and interventional pain management modalities with alternative treatments. With our multidisciplinary team of pain specialists, the Pain & Wellness Center merges the most technically advanced medical treatments with those practiced for thousands of years in Eastern medicine, as well as traditional acupuncture, laser acupuncture, chiropractic care , massage and physical therapy.
Our experts are committed to working closely with our patients and their referring physicians to reduce or eliminate pain and to help all those who visit the Pain and Wellness Center find their individualized path to wellness.
With the introduction of the Providers’ Roundtable, the Pain and Wellness center has initiated an innovative concept in outpatient care. At the Providers’ Roundtable, held on a bi-weekly basis, the entire provider team from all disciplines comes together to review individual patients’ cases. Here, treatment plans and results are discussed, and new treatment options are revised, based on each specialist’s input. The Providers’ Roundtable is the centerpiece of our unique approach to comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for each patient.
The majority of the treatments are administered at our state-of-the-art facility in Peabody, Massachusetts, where patients can relax and rehabilitate in a tranquil, caring environment. When surgical procedures are required, patients are treated in our AAAHC-certified Ambulatory Surgical Center, New England Pain Care (NEPC), conveniently located in the same building. In addition to the pain specialists at the Pain & Wellness Center, New England Pain Care is staffed by an expert team of nurses and anesthesiologists.
NEPC opened in April 2003, as the ambulatory surgical center servicing all Pain and Wellness Center patients who require interventional pain management. NEPC is conveniently located under one roof along with the medical offices and holistic services at 10 Centennial Drive in Peabody. It is certified and periodically reviewed by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
