- How long is each physical therapy session and will I get personal attention?
Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour. You are seen, ONE-ON-ONE with your therapist for most of this time.
- I have had physical therapy in other places before and it did not seem to help, why would I consider physical therapy again?
There are many physical therapy approaches to a patient's symptoms. If one way, or one therapist, did not achieve success for you, it is quite possible that another approach will be successful. Our physical therapists work hard to find the "root" cause of your symptoms. We take pride in finding the "right treatment" for the "right patient."
- Do you have to go to college to be a physical therapist?
Yes. In fact, The American Physical Therapy Association has passed the initiative that ALL PT's must attain their Doctorate by the year 2020. Presently, all PT programs in America are Doctorate Programs. On average, it takes 7 years to achieve your Doctorate in PT.
- In the past, I have not been satisfied with the results of my exercises in physical therapy; why should I try PT again?
Since we specialize in manual "hands-on" therapy, every patient undergoes assessment and treatment for joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release, trigger point release, cross friction massage, positional release, contract/relax techniques, and many others. Focused one on one attention during all your PT sessions will ensure success in your therapeutic goals.
